I'm 32 Days Old Today

As I approached my one-month birthday on Monday, my mom and dad finally began to understand why so many parents insist on measuring their child's age in days for as long as possible. It used to seem so silly to them, but not anymore. Now they get it. To them, I am not a little over a month old; I am merely 32 days old. They say the time is going so fast and this is one small way for them to think they're slowing the clocks somehow.

Tomorrow, I'm going to have my 33-day old photos taken (not to be mistaken with one-month photos). I've been going on short excursions several times per week, so tomorrow will be a big day for me. I feel pretty cozy in my infant carrier. I like to look up at my bug mirror with all the brightly colored ribbons (legs and antennae). In fact, I like to look at a lot of things lately. I can focus my eyes for long periods of time, and I'm discovering cool new things to look at every day.

We're having a friend over for dinner tonight, so I need to help my parents get ready. I need to take a bath so I smell baby fresh for our guest. I'll talk to you again soon!

Good morning Sweetheart,
What a darling picture of your hand next to your parents hand. You have such delicate fingers, you would be a marvelous piano player! Aren't excursions fun with mommy and daddy? They take the most awesome short trips. You are growing so fast that soon you will be having tea parties with your dolls! Sending all our love to you little treasure, Grandma Elaine and Grandpa Al

Well little Miss Grace Lemon Cakes, if you are but 32 days old and that is supposed to make mommy and daddy feel like the time is going by slower, I am 20,563 days old, is that slow enough do you think? You are more beautiful with each of your 32 days, and we are all more in love with you than the day before, how is that possible?
I have been sewing your dedication dress. It is finished now and you will look so pretty in it. I also made you 4 more receiving blankets because mommy and daddy love for all your things to match. I can't wait to see you next week sweet girl, we will have 2 whole days to play and talk together. Give your mommy and daddy my love ok? See you soon, I love you, Grandma Jan

To my precious Granddaughter, Gracie,
It is hard to believe that you are already 32 days old. Your Grandpa Teigen and I were so glad to be a part of your very first birthday when you were less than one day old and we could hold you and feed you and look into your big beautiful eyes. We met most all of your family and renewed friendships with all those who came to greet your arrival. Everyone smiled as they annoyed the nurses by wanting to hold you, but how could anyone blame us for the chance to adore you up close and get to know you. Can't wait to hold you in my arms again. Grandma Teigen
