Chillaxin' in May
During the past week or so, I've been going through our photos and came across some cute shots we took during a low-key weekend at the end of May. We started the weekend by attending a baby shower for one of Chad's cousins at a super kid-friendly pizza restaurant.
Here is a cute family shot of Chad's cousin Aaron, his wife Tandy, their 3-year old daughter Acacia, and baby Eden (on the way):
And here's Chad with oh-so-cute Avery (Chad's other cousin, Teek's, baby boy). BTW: Grace was NOT happy about her daddy holding and playing with another baby. It's a good thing we're not planning to adopt again anytime soon. :-)
The pizzeria had a cool play area for the kids. Grace enjoyed the slide...
... the merry-go-round:
... and the ball pit:It was nice to catch up with family and see the kiddos play together.
Later that afternoon, Benji and his moms came over for a BBQ. They brought chocolate cupcakes for dessert. Grace really liked hers.
Here's a cute shot of Ben on the miniature trampoline:
The next day, we went to Grace's favorite playground...
... then spent some time at a local farmers' market. After shopping for farm-fresh produce, we stopped to listen to a folk band play some tunes. The band leader must've noticed how much Grace was enjoying herself because he called her up to the stage to get her very own kazoo! (It turns out that GG is a very talented kazoo player.)
It was a beautiful sunshiny day, so we spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out in the backyard. Grace played with sidewalk chalk, splashed in her pool, and relaxed in her Elmo tent.
It's hard to believe that weekend was 2.5 months ago. Wow, this summer is flying by! Hopefully I'll have time to post the rest of our summer pics before autumn is here. Ha!
