M.S. Dixie and Heavenly Village

On the final day of Julie, Steffen, and Hannah's visit, we all decided to take a sight-seeing cruise around the lake on the M.S. Dixie. Here are Chad and Gracie waiting in line to board the big stern wheeler:

Cruising the lake was a beautiful and relaxing way to spend the morning. I'm pretty sure Grace and Ben were thinking: What better way to enjoy the gorgeous view than with a delicious lollipop?

This is a nice shot of Jill with Baby Hannah:

Grace was all decked out for some fun in the sun with her sunhat and sunglasses:

And here's a cute pic of Meggie and Ben:

Here we are in Crystal Bay (one of the most photographed areas of the lake). In some places, the water alternated between turquoise blue and emerald green. It really was stunning!

I thought this was such a nice family photo of Julie, Steffen, and Hannah:

... as was this one of the two sisters and their families:

Sometime during the second half of the trip, both Benji and GG zonked in their mamas' arms.

After two hours on the lake, we were famished. So, we drove down to South Lake Tahoe to have lunch at Heavenly Village (an outdoor shopping/dining plaza at the base of the Heavenly ski area). At the recommendation of a friend, we dined at an Asian fusion restaurant called Fire & Ice. Gracie had a great time trying out the chopsticks:

Before heading back to the condo, Ben and Grace made their wishes in a fountain:

Whatever their wishes were, I hope they all come true!
