Jessy's 3rd Birthday Party

If there's one thing Miss Gracie loves, it's a birthday party. When Grandma Heather planned Jessy's third birthday party to coincide with our October visit to Central Oregon, Gracie couldn't have been more excited!

Before the party, we visited Ashley at her new house; then we went to a nearby park to let Gracie run off some pre-party energy. As you can see, it was a beautiful, sunny fall day:

At last, it was time for the party. It was at Papa's Pizza, a fun pizza parlor that has a huge indoor ball pit and jungle gym for kids to play on. There were lots of other kids there, so Grace had a blast. But first, Grace had to check out the party hat and favors:

... a little while later, Papa Mike came by to say hello:

... then it was time for Jessy to open her presents:

... and blow out her birthday candles. The cake is Grace's favorite part of any birthday party. Notice how she's eyeing it covetously:

I love this sweet picture of Grandma Mickey kissing the birthday girl:

Here's a shot of what Grace and Jessy did for the majority of the party: Play! They were inseparable all day.

We were so lucky to see Gracie's Great-Great Grandma Ora this trip (she and Duane drove all the way from Eastern Oregon for Jessy's party).

Loves for Mama Ashley:

... and more loves for Papa Mike:

We stopped by Grandma Mickey's on our way out of town so we could change Gracie into her jammies for the long drive home. Tell me this isn't the most precious picture!

Saying good-bye to Great-Great Grandpa Duane:

It was a really fun day, but our visit felt much too short (especially since we won't make it back over there until Spring due to the icy roads). Luckily, we have phone, email, and Facebook to keep us connected until then.
