October Trips to Eugene and the Coast
October was a very eventful month for us, second only to April. Coincidentally, those are my two favorite months of the whole year. Hmmm, there must be a correlation there somewhere. As a result of being about eight weeks behind on my blog posts, I do not recall the exact order of October weekend events; however, I know Gracie was one happy girl because she got to spend every weekend with a variety of family members.
One of the weekends, Grace and I drove down to Eugene to spend a few days with Grandma Jan and Rubie while Chad was home studying and Noelle, Jeremy, and Brenden were out of town. One of the highlights of that weekend was making cupcakes:
... decorating them:
... and eating them!
We also took the girls to a children's arts & crafts fair and tea party (regretfully, I neglected to take photos during those activities). But here's a priceless shot of two very lovable cousins on their way to an indoor playground:
Another weekend in October, we went to the coast to see my dad and Debbie while they were staying with Nina and Chris. It was such a gorgeous day, so we took a walk and ended up at the beach. Rubie and Gracie couldn't wait to get their toes in that sand!
Back at Nina and Chris's house, the kiddos thought it was great fun to play in Bogey's kennel. They ran back and forth between Bogey's bed and his kennel while the rest of us cracked up at how silly they were!
Luckily, Bogey didn't mind. He's a good boy. And those cousins are so precious together!
